"Living for three decades in different countries around the world led me to become interested in communication and language, and to inquire about how language shapes our memories and identities. The words in this piece are both in Spanish and English ("together", "change", "belief", etc.); they speak both to the experience of living in a multilingual/global world and to our ability to communicate with one another."
