Inspired by the dockyards where she grew up, much of Wendy Taylor’s sculpture incorporates an element of illusion combined with industrial material: “knots” created from what look like bricks or steel “frames” suspended in the air by chains. Like the artist herself, the work is not afraid to challenge expectations, norms, or impossibilities.
