SCULPT | Julian Wild

Julian Wild has been making sculpture for thirty years. After graduating from Kingston University, Wild worked as an assistant to Damien Hirst before developing his own career path.

Wild has exhibited at venues including Chatsworth House (Sotheby's), Sculpture in the City, Canary Wharf, Modern Art Oxford, William Benington Gallery, V22, and The Saatchi Gallery. He has completed commissions for Cate Blanchett, The University of Oxford, Modern Forms, Fidelity lnvestments, Cass Sculpture Foundation, Crest Nicholson, Wyeth Europa, Schroders Investment Management, Jerwood Sculpture Park, Sculpture in the Parklands in Ireland, Sir George Iacobescu, The Lightbox Gallery, and Canary Wharf Group.

He was awarded The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Arts Club Trust Studio Bursary from 2009-2012 and won an individual Arts Council Grant in 2011; he was a finalist in the Jerwood Sculpture Prize in 2005 and won the Millfield Sculpture Prize in the same year.

Wild is a fellow of The Royal Society of Sculptors and was Vice-President from 2015-2019. He is the Sculpture Pathway leader and senior lecturer at The Art Academy London. He lives and works in Sussex, UK.
