Aurora V
“The Aurora series builds on my experience as a traditionally trained bookbinder and printmaker. Yet here, I am using those skills to create non-traditional bookworks, where each paper accordion book dances down the wall in an open format. Aurora V collages together a series of photographs I took just before the pandemic began – some of the last images I took on a walk before the world shut down. I can look back now and see this lush, Edenic, but also riotous explosion of color and plant life… infused with a hopefulness and a Utopian quality just before a difficult moment in the world.”
