Black Form 1

“Black Form 1” is quite tall, measuring 72 inches high. To stay within my vision of creating expansive space, I chose to place a definite form within the rectangle and let it reach. It doesn’t bend, hang, or fly – It sits. That way, you can feel the reaching up along that tall right side, and the figure sits safe and secure inside that long shape, which gives it a needed stability and subtly calls attention to its unique dimension.
