Long-Sharp Gallery hosts solo exhibit of Sam Gilliam prints in Conrad Indianapolis lobby

At least twice a year, Long-Sharp Gallery curates an exhibit of works by an artist of import in the lobby of Conrad Indianapolis - in the last few years, for example, some of those artists included British Pop artist David Spiller and surrealist master Joan Miro. The first lobby exhibit of 2018 will feature the works of 85-year old, MIssissippi-born artist Sam Gilliam. Gilliam is recognized as an original color field painter and is credited with redefining and expanding the Abstract Expressionism movement. The exhibit is presented as a result of the gallery's partnership with Gilliam's long-time printer, Tandem Press. The installation of nine of Gilliam's prints will take place mid-April and run through mid-June.
