With modern and contemporary fine art clients on 6 continents, Long-Sharp Gallery (LSG) is located in Indianapolis, Indiana. LSG specializes in the sale of works by modern and contemporary masters, with emphasis on Pablo Picasso, Joan Miro, Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, Robert Indiana, and Roy Lichtenstein.
Recognizing her admiration of artists working today and the timely messages revealed in their work, Rhonda Long-Sharp has expanded her vision for the gallery in recent years to include a rigorous program that features international contemporary artists in solo and thematic exhibitions. LSG also enjoys increased participation in top level art fairs in the US and Europe, which affords the gallery's worldwide clients even greater access to the gallery’s growing inventory of important and innovative works.
Long-Sharp Gallery has unparalleled authenticity and condition guarantees. Each work is inspected and each work is guaranteed as authentic and to be in the condition as represented. The gallery's comprehensive photographic database keeps full recto and forso images of every piece in inventory. These photos are available before purchase.
Long-Sharp Gallery has placed works in important museums, corporations, and in public and private collections. It has been named Indianapolis' "Best Gallery" by Indianapolis Monthly Magazine in both of the magazine's most recent gallery selections.
A Fine Art Experience at the Conrad
Long-Sharp Gallery is part of "A Fine Art Experience" at the Conrad -- an innovative and award winning art program developed by Rhonda Long-Sharp and Conrad Indianapolis. The dual highlights of the program are the five rotating exhibits (approximately 8,000 square feet of public space is used for this purpose) and the "Art Ambassadors." Approximately two dozen art ambassadors (one of the "best kept secrets in Indianapolis" per Indianapolis Monthly Magazine, January 2013), receive regular training on the artwork and artists exhibiting in the hotel. Signified by a gold "artist's palate" pin, Art Ambassadors are available to answer questions posed by hotel guests and the visiting public about the art displayed. "A Fine Art Experience" also boasts special programming from Sunday Art Matinees to exhibit openings and participation in IDADA's First Fridays) and an "Art TV" station which educated interested guests about the artists being shown or other art related events. Peter Greenberg of CBS recently selected Conrad Indianapolis as one of the top four hotels for art in the work, and Modern Painters Magazine has dubbed a stay at Conrad Indianapolis akin to "a night at the museum" (Modern Painters Magazine, December 2012).
National and International Art Fair Participation
The gallery exhibits at 3 to 6 fine art fairs annually. Information regarding the gallery's fair participation can be found in the "Gallery Exhibits and Art Fairs" section. In 2015, Long-Sharp has or will exhibit at the following: Spring Masters (New York), Masterpiece London 2015, Art Miami New York, Palm Beach International Art, Antique & Jewelry Show, Art Southampton and Art Silicon Valley.
Rhonda Long-Sharp, Owner
After a successful 20+ year legal career defending prisoners on death row in the highest courts of the US, art enthusiast and collector Rhonda Long-Sharp decided to formally pursue her passion for the arts in 2005. Beginning as both an art consultant and modern art broker, Long-Sharp specialized in post-war and contemporary multiples and works on paper. Recognizing the internet’s inherent global accessibility to fine art and cognizant of obstacles that virtual galleries can place in a collector’s path, Long-Sharp invested substantial resources and years of experience as a collector and dealer to provide national and international buyers with security and confidence in the acquisition process. Long-Sharp Gallery warrants each work sold with extensive warranties as to condition and authenticity. Along with being a member of various federal bars, Long-Sharp is also a member of the International Fine Art Appraisers and the Indianapolis Downtown Artists and Dealers Association.
